No issue if there are no pants. Sydney Sweeney experimented with the divisive no-trousers trend while working in Berlin, flaunting the look on Instagram while wearing a brown Miu Miu trench coat. She cleverly positioned her black leather bag on the windowsill while sitting on the open windowsill and captioned the 28 February image with a single monkey emoji. To complete the ultra-minimalistic outfit, she and her stylist Molly Dickson added other stylish accents, such as heeled combat boots, white crew socks, and delicately tinted sunglasses.
Even while the trend of wearing no pants is already adventurous, Sweeney’s take on it appeared even more outrageous given that Berlin still experiences frequent below-freezing temperatures. Maya Hawke of “Stranger Things” fame wore sheer black tights as her only bottoms to Milan Fashion Week, and Kylie Jenner styled fishnets as trousers for the cover of Vanity Fair Italy are two other celebrities who have experimented with the trend with some sort of covering. But despite the temperature, Sweeney exposed her legs beneath her coat for fashion reasons.
Recently, Sweeney was in Berlin at the Berlin Film Festival to promote her new film, “Reality.” She donned slightly more season-appropriate outfits on the red carpet, such as a crystallized corset gown and an embroidered suit with side cutouts by Alexander McQueen. But, Sweeney’s particular style is more about having fun than it is about being functional. See if you’d ever try this trend by taking a closer look at her amusing trouser-less outfit above.
