According to reports, a skydiving grandfather died during a pre-game ceremony at a high school football game in Tennessee, in front of shocked onlookers.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s office, the unnamed skydiver smashed onto the field during a prearranged pre-game spectacle at David Crockett High School in Jonesborough that went horrifically wrong.
The skydiver was evacuated to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to authorities.
In a statement to WCYB, Washington County Director of Schools Jerry Boyd described the deceased as a “loving husband, father, and grandpa.”
A day after the accident, another skydiver died in New Jersey on Saturday.
Brandon Jackson, 37, of Michigan, was discovered dead in a field near his home.
