Adele says that because of her north London accent, most of her admirers have been pronouncing her name incorrectly. Instead, it is pronounced uh-dale

Adele has acknowledged that the majority of her followers mispronounce her name.

After the debut of her “I Drink Wine” music video, Adele answered a fan’s question about composing 30 and her path to self-love at Happy Hour with Adele and Benito Skinner.

Adele was impressed when the fan, speaking on video, managed to pronounce her name correctly.

In response to the fan’s query, she stated that after the publication of 25, she had complete control over her life.

She mentioned that it was a 9–5 job and that she had recently given birth to her baby. Adele continued by saying she went to the studio and felt secure in her personal life.

The 34-year-old continued by saying that by the time she turned 30, she had to embrace the fact that she had “no concept” what she was doing and no control over her life, saying she had to just “surf the wave.”

She had previously stated that she would not use her last name since it “did not have the same ring as Adele” in an interview with YouTuber NikkieTutorials.

In the conversation, she also expressed her opinion that her last name was “drab” and ineffective as a stage name.
