During the juvenile suspects’ court appearance on Tuesday (November 17), the family of the kid fatally shot at Seattle’s Ingraham High School was revealed, according to FOX 13.
When the victim’s family’s impact statements were read aloud in court, they identified him as 17-year-old Ebenezer Haily. They described Haily as a happy person who enjoyed spending time with his pals.
On behalf of a relative, Cindy Sandiho-Chang, a victim advocate with the Seattle Police Department, said, “I don’t feel secure for myself or my family, I’m grieving for my family.” “My nephew Ebenezer Haily deserves justice,” someone said.
In connection with Haily’s shooting death on November 8 in the morning, two youths have been detained. According to Seattle Police, the fight in the bathroom involved a gun and involved the victim, his pals, and the 14-year-old suspect. The alleged shooter reportedly fired several rounds into his back some time after the altercation. At a metro bus stop, authorities detained the 14-year-old and a 15-year-old.
First-degree premeditated murder, first-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and second-degree unauthorized possession of a firearm were the charges filed against the 14-year-old in court. According to media, Judge Avril Rothrock ordered him imprisoned until his subsequent hearing.
Rothrock did not view the 15-year-old who was arrested alongside the alleged gunman as a part of the murderous plot.
According to Rothrock, according to FOX 13, “[He] is not charged with perpetrating or arranging in advance the violence that is claimed to have been done.” “The state has not accused him as an accomplice; I do not hold him to be an accomplice.”
According to reports, neither he nor the 14-year-old received a bond. Prosecutors from King County urged the court to hold the 14-year-old defendant in adult court, but the judge has not yet made a decision.
