Since his 1994 feature film debut, Ewan McGregor has enjoyed a successful career in the entertainment industry. The actor gained notoriety for his realistic portrayal of Mark Renton in the 1996 movie “Trainspotting,” and his career in Hollywood proceeded to advance after he appeared in movies like “Emma” and “Velvet Goldmine.” It might be said that the actor’s portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the 1997 movie “Star Wars: Episode 1 — The Phantom Menace” cemented his status as a household name and paved the way for him to land parts in other successful movies like “Moulin Rouge!” and “Black Hawk Down” in the early 2000s.
