A two-year Twitter employee was locked out of his work computer for more than a week and was unsure of his employment status. He consequently tweeted CEO Elon Musk a question.
If enough people retweet, perhaps you’ll respond to me here. After the business acquired his startup Ueno, Haraldur Thorleifsson joined it and tweeted on Monday.
On the platform, Musk, who has close to 131 million followers, commented on Tuesday.
He questioned, “What work have you done?”
In a following conversation, Musk questioned Thorleifsson about his job and expressed doubt about any restrictions brought on by a disability. Design manager Thorleifsson, who has muscular dystrophy and requires a wheelchair, is disabled.In a post, Musk said Thorleifsson “didn’t really do any work when the apology claimed he had a disability that prevented him from typing while also tweeting up a storm.”
In response, Thorleifsson tweeted, “This wasn’t a problem with Twitter 1.0 as I was a senior director and my job was mostly to help teams move forward and give them strategic and tactical guidance.”
“I’m typing this on my phone, by the way,” Throleifsson, who goes by “Halli,” later added. “It’s easier for [sic] because I only need one finger.”
