Kanye West’s waxwork has been removed from Madame Tussauds as Skechers escorts the rapper out of the building

Kanye West was escorted out of Skechers’ headquarters after showing up uninvited, and Madame Tussaud’s has removed his waxwork as an increasing number of companies distance themselves from the troubled musician following his anti-Semitic remarks.

West “arrived unannounced and without invitation” at Skechers’ corporate headquarters in California on Wednesday, according to Skechers.

“Because Ye was filming without permission, two Skechers executives escorted him and his party out of the building after a brief conversation,” a spokesperson said.

“Skechers is not considering or intends to work with West.” We condemn his recent divisive remarks and reject anti-Semitism and other forms of hate speech.”

After mounting pressure, Adidas severed ties with the rapper and announced that production of the rapper’s Yeezy line of sneakers would cease immediately.

Meanwhile, Madame Tussauds London announced that it had “retired” Ye’s statue from public display and placed it in its archive in response to his anti-Jewish remarks.

“Each profile earns their place at Madame Tussauds London,” a spokesperson said. “We listen to our guests and the public on who they expect to see at the attraction.”

The waxwork was first displayed in the museum in 2015, alongside a figurine of Kardashian’s then-wife Kim. Ms. Kardashian has demanded an end to “terrible violence and hateful rhetoric” directed at the Jewish community.

In interviews and on social media, West made a number of anti-Semitic remarks, including a threat to go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.”
