Six passengers and an employee were injured when a train derailed at a Missouri amusement park

On Wednesday evening, a train ride at the Silver Dollar City amusement park near Branson, Missouri, derailed, injuring at least seven people.

According to the park, six guests and one employee were injured on the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam train ride. Ambulances transported them to nearby medical facilities.

According to a Stone County Office of Emergency Management official, none of the passengers suffered life-threatening injuries. According to the official, the train was nearly full at the time of the accident.

On Twitter, Silver Dollar City confirmed the accident, saying they are “wholly” supporting guests and first responders.

“Silver Dollar confirms that sections of the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam train derailed from the track earlier this evening,” the statement said.

“At this time, we are entirely focused on providing assistance to guests and team members in collaboration with Stone County first responders,” the amusement park added.
