Who was John Lennon’s murderer? Mark may not have been there. Jonathan Chapman

John Lennon, the lead vocalist of The Beatles, was shot and assassinated in Central Park West in New York City in 1980, shocking the entire world.

Lennon was shot and killed by Mark David Chapman, as everyone suspected, as he made his waay back to the apartment he shared with his wife Yoko Ono.

David Whelan, a British novelist and TV host, now believes that Chapman might not be responsible for the murder.

His upcoming book and documentary both discuss the possibility of a second gunman.

Was John Lennon assassinated by a hired killer?
‘Gimme Some Truth – The Assassination of John Lennon,’ the title of Whelan’s book, claims that the story of Lennon’s murder is untrue.
According to Dave Wedge, co-author of the book “The Last Days of John Lennon,” Whelan’s theory is unfounded.

The new theory, in Wedge’s opinion, is “a fantasy.”
