‘You Are Welcome,’ Madonna says of paving the way for Kim Kardashian, Cardi B, and Miley Cyrus to accept their sexuality

Madonna has spoken up about the criticism she received from “narrow-minded” people early in her career, as well as how she opened the way for women in Hollywood to accept their sexuality.

On Saturday (October 22), the singer posted her ideas on Instagram to commemorate the 30-year anniversary of her 1992 book, Sex.

She reflected on the backlash she faced at the time for freely accepting her sexuality, as well as the progress achieved for intercourse upbeat pop culture stars like Cardi B and Miley Cyrus.

“There were photographs of guys kissing men, women kissing women, and me kissing everyone, in addition to photos of myself naked,” Madonna said of the espresso desk guide.

“I also wrote about my sexual desires and expressed my sardonic perspective on my sexuality.”

“I spent the following several years being interviewed by narrow-minded people who attempted to humiliate me for empowering myself as a woman,” Madonna writes of how the handbook was received by the media. I was referred to as a whore, a witch, a heretic, and the devil.

“Cardi B can now sing about her WAP.” Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball and adorn the cover of any magazine with her bare ass.

“You’re welcome, b****es,” she said with a clown emoji.

Sex sold almost 1.5 million copies worldwide in the first few days of its release. In its first week, it sold 750,000 copies in the United States.

In France, it held the record for the biggest first-month gross sales for a guide in history until it was eclipsed in 2002 by Thierry Meyssan’s L’Effroyable Impasture.

Madonna also uploaded a clip from a 1992 interview with 60 Minutes Australia on Instagram.

When asked if there was a message in the book, Madonna said, “Probably a lot of messages,” and then asked the interviewer, “What did you get out of it?”

“I became terrified,” he said. When she asked why, he said, “I’d never seen anything like that.”

In response, Madonna stated, “You have so. You’ve never read Playboy, Penthouse, or anything else like that?”

“Yes, but you were different. I thought the photo of you masturbating in front of the mirror was horrifying. It just strikes me as awful.”

“I believe people’s reactions to various circumstances in the book reflected them more than me.” Are you afraid of a lady who has the ability to turn herself on? “Are you terrified of a lady who isn’t afraid to stare in the mirror at her genitals?”
